Worn, tested, and kept on the vanity
The bow clasp had me expecting a gimmick. It's not. It's genuinely weighted like real jewelry, and the mauve in Nude Romantique 2 is the first "your lips but better" shade that hasn't gone dry on me by hour three.
My mother, my sister, and I have three completely different undertones and we all wear Nude Venus. That's never happened with a "universal nude" before — usually one of us gets left with the orange cast.
Lasted through a full dinner without feathering into my lip line, which is more than I can say for the "12-hour" formulas that fade by dessert. Needed one light reapply after a very saucy pasta — fair enough.
Bought it as a gift and almost kept it for myself when I saw the box in person — the jeweled heart and the roses look hand-painted. The lipstick itself sits on my vanity like a decoration now, bow facing out.
